The subscriber count on that apology video is WILD right now

So I was digging through the stats on that bakery owner's meltdown video from last Tuesday, the one where she called out a customer by name over a wrong cake order. She had 12k subscribers before it blew up, and now she's sitting at 89k but her engagement rate dropped to 1.2%. That number shocked me because it means most people are just there to watch the dumpster fire, not to support her. Has anyone else seen a channel spike like that and actually recover their community vibe, or is it always a one way street to being a drama account?

89k subscribers from 12k is a straight up vertical line, that's not growth, that's an explosion. Usually when a channel jumps like that, the numbers get bigger but the comments get way weirder, and most of those new followers bounce after the drama dies down. From what I've seen, it takes months of consistent, boring content to rebuild trust, and some channels never shake that drama label.
