That $40 caulk gun I ignored for years finally broke me
I spent way too long fighting with those $5 caulk guns, squeezing and getting a mess everywhere. Last month I grabbed a ratcheting one from Home Depot and seriously my bathroom trim job took half the time. Has anyone else found a tool that silly that actually saved their sanity?

Oh man, the ratcheting one was my game changer too? I fought with those cheap squeeze tubes for years on a siding job. Always ended up with a mess everywhere and a sore hand. Picked up a swivel-head caulk gun at a garage sale for three bucks. Total junk but it had that ratchet mechanism. Night and day difference. Made my bathroom caulking actually look professional for once. Really makes you wonder why you put up with the bad ones so long.

Right? I used the cheap ones for way too long thinking they were all the same. Finally got one with the ratchet and a drip stop feature and it felt like cheating. No more squeezing tubes that keep popping back, no more caulk oozing out while you reposition the gun. Did a whole kitchen backsplash in one afternoon without wanting to throw the thing through the window. Feels dumb to get excited about a caulk gun but honestly it's one of those tools you don't know you needed until you use it.
