Finally traced that phantom voltage drop in a 1970s split-level...
It was a single corroded neutral splice buried in a wall, took me almost 4 hours to find. Anyone have a favorite trick for hunting down hidden bad connections in old residential?

Nah, just replace all the old wiring.

Found a bad splice in my own attic last month, same deal. Took forever with just a wiggy and a lot of swearing.
