The week I had to rewire a house that was also a cat sanctuary

Got a call for a full rewire on a 1950s bungalow last Tuesday, and the owner failed to mention her 27 cats lived inside. Every wall plate I removed had a stash of cat toys behind it, and I found three live mice in a junction box. The worst part was trying to fish new wire while a tabby named 'Sparky' kept attacking my fish tape. Finished the job on Friday, but my van still smells like catnip. Anyone ever had a job where the 'existing conditions' were a total surprise like that?
