Update: Most crews love the new gadgets, but I feel the old way of doing things built tougher electricians.

Old tools didn't make you tougher, @anna_ward. Just slower.

Don't you think learning the fundamentals by hand makes you understand the systems better? I know my old apprenticeship did.

But what about when you need to get things done fast?
