Just got through a tricky call with a stuck car in an old office building downtown
The car was stuck between floors 7 and 8, and the controller board was throwing a code I hadn't seen before. I traced it to a failing relay on the door lock circuit. Had to bypass it temporarily with a jumper to get the car moving to the landing, then replaced it from my van stock. Anyone dealt with a similar intermittent door lock fault on those older Otis Gen2 systems?

Hot take: Classic Gen2 gremlin.
Yeah, those door lock relays are a known weak spot on that generation. The intermittent fault makes sense because the contacts get pitted over time. Your jumper fix was the right call to get it to a landing safely. Always keep a couple of those relays on the truck, they fail more often than people think.

Had the same thing happen on my old one, swapped three of those relays in a year.
