PSA: I finally gave in and got a custom tune for my 3.5L EcoBoost

I always thought canned tunes were fine, but a shop in Phoenix convinced me to try a dyno session. The difference in throttle response and mid-range torque is huge, especially when towing my trailer. Anyone else have a good tuner recommendation for the 10-speed transmission?

A good tuner should also check your fuel trims and knock sensors. Mine ran cleaner after the tune because they fixed some factory lean spots.

My old F-150 gained 40 hp from a dyno tune in Tucson, totally changed the truck.

Totally changed the truck" is a big claim. I get that a dyno tune feels faster, but is it really that serious for daily driving? My neighbor did one and his check engine light came on a month later. Even @paul_patel40's 40 hp gain sounds nice, but that's just a number on paper. Most people don't need that extra stress on their engine just to merge onto the highway a tiny bit quicker.
