Switched from a canned tune to a custom dyno tune 4 months ago

My old canned tune felt strong at first but started pulling timing on 90 degree days here in Phoenix, and after 3 back-to-back dyno pulls with a local shop I picked up 22 wheel horsepower and the truck actually holds power now, has anyone else found that custom tuning makes a bigger difference than they expected?

I used to think canned tunes were basically the same thing just cheaper, but after watching my buddy's truck keep pulling timing on hot days here in Texas I totally get it now. Your numbers sound solid.

Totally get it. It's like buying cheap boots - they look fine until you're actually walking miles in them. Reminds me how often the difference between good and great shows up when things get hard, you know?
