Why nobody talks about tuning a 5.0 after 100k miles
I took my 2015 F150 to a shop in Austin last month for a tune. I got 112k miles on it and the guy at the counter said most people wait too long or never do it. He told me the 5.0 Coyote holds up real well if you keep up with oil changes. We ran a dyno pull before the tune and it was down about 20 horsepower from stock. After the tune I picked up 35 horsepower and the truck drives way smoother. It shifts better and I dont get that lag when I hit the gas on the highway. Has anyone else tuned a higher mile 5.0 and seen good results?

My buddy had the same experience with his 2016 Mustang GT at 108k miles. We did a baseline run on his too and it was down about 15 horses from when it was new. After the SCT tuner and a good dyno tune it woke that thing right up. He picked up around 40 wheel horsepower and the throttle response was night and day better. Just make sure your spark plugs are fresh and your fuel system is clean before you go in. If you have any vacuum leaks those will mess up your tune results real quick.

Same goes for coffee makers, they lose their punch over time too.

Yeah, did you get yours retuned or just buy a new one?
