Saw a friend in Austin get 1000 followers from posting 'day in the life' videos
I thought it was just another dumb trend that would vanish in a month. He started posting 30 second clips of his morning routine and work process. After 6 weeks, his engagement shot up and a local business offered him a small promotion deal. The consistent, mundane content actually built a real audience. Has anyone else seen simple video diaries work long term, or is the bubble gonna pop?

Oh great, so the secret to success is just filming myself burning toast and staring at a spreadsheet. Amazing. I guess people are just desperate to watch anything that isn't another overproduced ad. Sure it works now, but wait until everyone's feed is just ten million versions of someone making coffee. The bubble's gotta pop when we all run out of boring things to film.

Yeah I tried filming my morning routine once. It was just me hitting snooze three times and then scrambling to find my car keys. Not exactly viral content. But @david_park has a point about commutes, I'd watch someone's train ride if they pointed out weird stuff along the tracks. The charm is in the tiny, real details, not the big picture.
