Remember when you could just find a good, solid anvil at any farm auction? Took me 4 months of searching online and driving to 3 different states to replace my old one after it finally cracked.

Saw a video last week where a guy said the old anvils are basically all in collectors' hands now. He was at a flea market and saw a beat-up Peter Wright priced like a used car. Makes sense you had to drive all over. The good stuff gets snapped up and resold online for crazy money before it even hits a local sale.

Nah, I still see decent ones pop up at estate sales. You just gotta be the first guy there on a Tuesday morning.
