inI finally understood why they say not to touch anything at a dig site
My uncle found a Civil War button that basically turned to dust when he picked it up... @nancy475 is totally right about that patience thing.

inRemember when you could just find a good, solid anvil at any farm auction? Took me 4 months of searching online and driving to 3 different states to replace my old one after it finally cracked.
Saw a video last week where a guy said the old anvils are basically all in collectors' hands now. He was at a flea market and saw a beat-up Peter Wright priced like a used car. Makes sense you had to drive all over. The good stuff gets snapped up and resold online for crazy money before it even hits a local sale.

inShoutout to the Milwaukee M18 Fuel trim gun for not jamming once during a 3-day crown molding job in a humid Savannah house, which never happens with my old one.
Yeah, that Milwaukee stuff is solid. My Makita angle grinder is like that. Used it cutting rebar in the rain on a foundation job, just hosed it off at the end of the day and it never even sputtered. What kind of trim were you running, the thick stuff?

inSpent $150 on a resume writer and it actually got me an interview
Honestly, I was right there with you, @williams.kim. I used to think it was crazy to pay for that. But getting mine done actually made me see my own work in a whole new way.
