Chat with a seamstress named Maria changed my mind about fusible interfacing
I was at Joann Fabrics last Tuesday grabbing some notions for a dress I'm making. Maria was in the aisle next to me and saw me grab the cheap fusible stuff. She said, honey, that stuff will bubble up after one wash, just use a sew-in instead. She showed me how the fusible glue can ruin the drape of a linen bodice. Now I am rethinking all my interfacing choices, has anyone else had that happen?

Nah, @the_thomas, I've used fusible for years with no trouble at all.

I mean, is fusible interfacing really that bad or is Maria just being dramatic?

Fusible interfacing has its place, but half the problems people post here are from it bubbling up or peeling off after a wash. It's fine for small projects you don't care about, but for anything you want to last, sew-in is the way to go.
