My neighbor called my new jacket design 'a confused traffic cone'

I was showing off a bright orange and gray reversible parka I'm working on, and she just blurted it out. It made me laugh, but now I'm second-guessing the whole color blocking scheme. Has anyone else had a brutally honest comment actually improve a project?

Wait, it's reversible? That's actually a really cool feature. A confused traffic cone is a pretty specific insult, gotta give her points for creativity.

Confused traffic cone" is a great line. My friend once called a hat I knit a "sad, deflated birthday cake." I kept the hat, but I never used that yarn combo again.
