I used to think 'batch filming' was just a hustle culture myth for creators.

Wait, you filmed SIX videos in ONE Saturday? That's some serious focus, I get tired just thinking about it. No wonder the fun part got lost, that sounds like a factory shift. Maybe try batching just two or three at a time?

Warning: I was about to give up on my sourdough crust

Wesley's tip about the sheet pan on the bottom rack is solid for older ovens. My experience is different with modern gas ranges though. The bottom element isn't always the main issue, it's more about blocking direct heat from the broiler in some models. Placing a sheet just under the Dutch oven actually works better in my kitchen because it stops the top from scorching first. You gotta know your own oven's hot spots.

So I had to pick between a public apology video or a written statement for a client's screw-up

Oh man, that's such a classic case. I read a piece once that said video apologies are a minefield because they put the person's nerves and delivery under a microscope. If they aren't a natural on camera, it can come off as insincere no matter what the script says. A written statement lets people focus on the actual message and the fix, not a stiff performance. Your story really proves that point.

Hot take: my 'perfect' weekly spread setup is actually a huge time sink

Yeah, the "more time decorating than using" thing is so real. I read a blog post once where someone called it "planning about planning". They said they switched to just a blank notebook and a pen, no lines at all. If they needed a list, they wrote a list. If they needed to remember a date, they just wrote it down. It looked messy but they actually got stuff done. Made me look at my own habit of drawing boxes for stuff I never put in them.

Unpopular opinion: That juice company's 'apology' for the moldy bottles took 4 days and made me angrier

That fridge analogy is funny but honestly, four days is nothing. Their legal team probably needed every hour to even approve that video script. Most big companies take weeks to even admit a mistake.
