Vent: My patchwork jacket caused a scene at a gallery opening
I designed a jacket using reclaimed fabrics from different cultures for an art event. One guest loudly argued it was cultural appropriation, while another defended it as a fusion statement. This awkward moment highlighted the fine line in design between homage and offense. We need more honest conversations about inspiration sources in fashion.

That fine line tests if designers do their homework first.

Totally, skipped research once and it blew up in our faces.

PayPal's last update is a perfect example. They clearly didn't do their homework, and the backlash was instant. That fine line is actually a brick wall without research.
