Just discovered how adding fruit changes fermented hot sauce

I made a batch of fermented hot sauce and threw in some ripe mango pieces on a whim. The result after a week was a nicely balanced sauce with a sweet edge. It fermented faster because the fruit added extra sugar for the bacteria. I tried it with pineapple too, and it gave a tropical twist. This little change makes each batch fun and unique. I think it could work with berries or apples as well. Give it a go if you like playing with flavors.

My cousin did blueberries in his last summer, like a whole pint. It came out super tangy instead of sweet, which was a cool surprise. The fruit really does change the whole game.

Watched my buddy try strawberries in his last batch. Turned out weirdly good with a sweet kick.

That "sweet kick" from strawberries sounds way better than my attempt. Mine just turned into a soggy disaster zone, like fruit soup. I clearly need to watch your buddy instead of winging it.
