PSA: I lost $200 on a 'bulk flower' deal from a new supplier
I saw an ad online for cheap bulk roses from a company I hadn't used before. I ordered a big batch for a wedding job last month, thinking I was saving money. When the box showed up, half the stems were bent and the blooms were already opening. I had to rush order replacements from my regular guy, which cost me double. Has anyone else had a bad surprise with a new flower vendor?

Sounds like their 'bulk deal' was just a bulk of problems.

Totally feel you. I tried a new bulk tulip place last spring and they shipped everything way too warm. Got a box of mushy stems and sad, drooping heads. Had to explain to a really upset birthday party client why her centerpieces looked so pathetic.

Ugh, is there anything worse than that sinking feeling when you open a box of ruined flowers? I got burned last year by a company advertising cheap bulk hydrangeas. They arrived completely dried out and wilted, like they'd been sitting in a hot truck for a week. I had to cancel two deliveries and refund the clients, which hurt way more than just losing the product cost. It feels like these places just pack up the leftovers they can't sell fresh. Now I stick with my two trusted suppliers, even if their base prices are a bit higher. The peace of mind is worth every penny.
