My uncle told me to always use a 6-inch knife for taping, and I fought him on it for a decade.

My old boss swore by a specific brand of chalk line for years. I thought any line would snap straight until mine kept breaking on a long layout. Using his red Stanley felt like cheating, it was that much better.

Just realized I was cooking my frozen fries wrong this whole time

So you think it's a total waste, huh? What exactly are you baking that makes you so sure? Because for cookies, that single layer is the only way to get even browning and the right texture. Trying to cram two trays in just gives you a sad, uneven mess. Have you actually tested it side by side or are you just guessing?

Saw a comment on a video of a cat knocking over a plant that turned into a full blown conspiracy theory

Spot the same thing with conspiracy theories all the time. People build a whole story on nothing, just like finley729 said about the dust bunny. The boring truth never gets the same clicks.

I looked up the numbers on that famous singer's deleted tweet and the story is way different

Used to believe them until @aaronclark's point.

Bought a $300 'viral sound pack' and used exactly one track

That feeling of buying a prepackaged trend is the modern version of buying a gym membership you never use. We keep trying to buy our way out of the work, whether it's finding a sound clip or learning a new skill. The real product they're selling is the hope of skipping the boring part, and it almost never works. You end up with a hard drive full of stuff you feel bad about not using.
