Honestly, a viewer said my phone mic sounded like I was in a tin can on my review videos.
I switched to a $25 lav mic from Amazon and the audio quality is night and day. Anyone have a budget tripod they actually trust?

The Amazon Basics tripod actually wobbled on me during a light breeze, so I ended up returning mine. Brian, I get why people like it for the price but I need something sturdier for outdoor shots. Have you tried wrapping weights around the legs to fix that instability?

Yeah, that tin can sound is the worst. My old phone mic picked up every echo in the room. Got one of those cheap clip-on mics too and it was a total game changer, just voices sounding clear now. For a tripod, I've been using a basic Amazon Basics one for years. It's nothing fancy but it hasn't fallen over yet, even with my phone on it.
