The new guys keep using the wrong cleaner on insulated units
I've seen three separate crews this year spray ammonia-based glass cleaner on the spacer bars. It eats the sealant over time, guaranteed. Anyone have a good way to explain this to clients who want to 'help' clean?

Yeah, @lewis.troy, it's like they think that blue bottle is some kind of universal cleaning magic.

Three times this year I've had to explain that ammonia cleaner is basically window sealant poison. Next time a client grabs the blue spray bottle, I'm tempted to just hand them a sledgehammer and say it's faster. It's like watching someone try to water a plant with gasoline because it's clear and wet. Maybe we should start putting little skull and crossbones stickers on the spacer bars.

The sledgehammer bit made me laugh. I keep a gallon of the right stuff in my truck and just swap it out for their bottle. Tell them it's a special mix for coated glass.
