Rant: The housing development next door is a mess for us operators
They started digging foundations without proper drainage, and now every loader track is caked in thick clay. I spent half my shift yesterday cleaning out my machine just to keep it moving. The foreman keeps pushing for faster work, but the ground is too soft for safe operation. How do you handle sites that rush jobs without fixing basic issues first?

Ever feel like you're the only one who sees the mud pit for what it is? I tried the math thing like jordanowens said once, and my foreman just stared at me like I was speaking another language. You can't logic someone out of a position they didn't logic themselves into, right? Now I just factor in an extra hour for playing mud sculptor with my skid steer.

Have you told the foreman that cleaning tracks wastes more time than fixing the drainage first? What does he say when you point that out?

Yeah, when I brought that up like jordanowens said, he just said "we follow the schedule." But what's the real reason they won't fix the drainage first? Is it a budget thing for the big fix, or is someone higher up just not listening to the guys on the ground? That's what I want to know.
