Zoned out after a long shift and almost tipped my excavator. Now I swear by short breaks to clear my head, it's a GAME changer.

I hit that 2:30 wall hard most days where everything gets foggy. Setting a timer for a five minute walk around the site totally resets my focus. It sounds stupid but it really does prevent close calls.

Totally get that "sounds stupid but it really does" feeling. I used to think short breaks were lazy until I tried a similar trick and it actually works.

Right? I used to push through that foggy feeling and then wonder why I'd measure something wrong twice. Now I just go check on a different crew for five minutes or even just stare at the clouds. Comes back way faster than forcing it.
