Vent: That squirrel blockade on the trail took forever...

We were halfway up the Oak Hollow path when a single squirrel planted itself right in the middle... It just stared at us, clutching a pinecone like it was guarding treasure. Our whole hike turned into a weird standoff for ten solid minutes... I almost offered it a trail mix bribe just to get moving again.

Actually that sounds like a terrible plan long term. You're just training them to bother people for food, plus next time you might not have snacks. Wouldn't risk it again.
