My roommate always decides to vacuum right when I start my home workout

I set up my mat and put on my workout clothes, and without fail, my roommate grabs the vacuum cleaner. She says it's the only time she remembers, but it's so loud I can't hear my workout video. I've tried talking to her about it, but she just laughs it off. Now I have to plan my sessions around her cleaning schedule, which is a pain.

Could you use headphones for your workout videos? I once thought people should just put up with noise, but dealing with it all the time at home changed my mind. Maybe a clear talk about quiet hours would help, have you considered that?

Why do we only understand after living it ourselves?

My last place had walls so thin I could hear my neighbor's phone vibrate, lol. I used to think noise was just part of living close to others, but constant bass from workouts drove me crazy. Setting up quiet hours with my roommates was a game-changer, honestly. Headphones for workout videos seem like a simple fix, but some people just don't get it. I feel you, man, it's all about respecting shared space.
