Tightened up our beam placement with a quick check step

On a recent site, we added a quick level check before locking in the beams. It caught a couple of small slips before they became problems. The crew liked how it kept things moving smooth. We wrapped up that section faster than planned. Just a little tip that paid off.

That bit about catching small slips is key. My friend skipped the level check on a roof job once. He had to pull down three beams that were already set. It wasted a whole morning. Now his crew does that quick step every time and they never have to backtrack.

I read about a contractor who avoided a big redo by spotting a lean early. @burns.michael, that's the kind of catch your friend missed but now gets right.

How do you confirm your level itself is still dead accurate? I've seen guys trust a tool that got knocked out of whack, which just moves the problem. That extra verification step seems just as important.
