inThe weird shift in how people talk about 'work-life balance' over the last 5 years
My old company tried a strict no meetings after 3pm rule. It just meant all the real work got pushed to frantic 10pm Slack messages because the decision makers were never free at the same time. Did Blair's team see a drop in after hours messages?

inWarning: I compared two budget fitness trackers for a month and the $35 one beat the $80 one on sleep tracking (hands down).
Ever notice how the expensive version of something is often just paying for the brand name? I see it all the time, like with those basic white t-shirts or phone chargers. A no-name one from the store works just as well as the fancy one for three times the price. Makes you wonder what else we're overpaying for just because the box looks nicer.

inDigging in the mud near York changed how I see pottery shards
Hold up, a fingerprint? That's actually insane. A whole pot is cool to look at, sure, but it's just a thing. A print in the clay is a person. You're literally touching the same spot some Roman worker pressed while the clay was wet. That's a direct link. Makes you wonder what they were thinking about that day.

inHeard a guy at the shop say you should never run a program without a dry run first...
Man, I get it. On our older Haas, I only do a full dry run for a brand new program or after a major edit. For repeat jobs, I just home the machine, set my Z above the part, and run it slow with the door open to watch the first tool path. That visual check has saved me from a bad offset entry more than once. What's your go-to method for a quick safety check?
