Finally picked the Bosque trail over the tram for my Sunday run

I had to decide between the Sandia tram trail (you know, the steep one) and the Bosque loop near Tingley last weekend. After 3 tries failing on the tram trail, I went with the Bosque because my knees were screaming at me. The cottonwoods were dropping all that fluffy stuff everywhere, made it feel like snow in June. Paced myself at a slow 10-minute mile and ended up doing 6 miles total, which is a record for me lately. Has anyone else found the Bosque easier on their joints than the foothills? I'm curious if I'm missing something.

Figured you'd trade the knee pain for allergies instead.

Trade you my aching knee for itchy eyes and a runny nose? I'll pass, but only because I can at least take ibuprofen for the knee without feeling like I'm doping for the Olympics. Your mileage may vary on which is worse, but at least allergies make me look like I've been crying over a good movie instead of just grumpy.

Wait, hold on, you think trading knee pain for allergies is actually a fair deal?? 😲 I mean, I get that constant aching is brutal, but have you ever had a sneezing fit so bad you pulled a muscle in your back? Last spring I literally couldn't breathe through my nose for two weeks straight, and my eyes were so puffy I looked like I'd been in a boxing match. At least with a bad knee you can still sit down and watch TV without needing a decongestant every four hours!
