Hit 10,000 followers on a joke post about my cat, of all things

I had a photo of my tabby sitting in an empty moving box that got shared by a local news page and suddenly I had 10,000 followers overnight. The funny part is I had been trying to grow my moving company page for two years with useful tips and barely broke 200. Has anyone else had a completely random post blow up while your main content just sits there?
