My friend's grocery store slip video blew up and now she's on the news
We were at the Food Mart on Elm Street last Tuesday, just a normal trip. My friend Zoe was buying stuff for a party, and the cashier gave her a receipt that was over 8 feet long because of some system glitch. She thought it was funny and filmed a 15-second clip of her unrolling it in the parking lot. She posted it with a dumb joke and went to bed. Woke up to 500k views. By noon, a local news station had called her for an interview about 'receipt rage'. Now she's getting messages from talk shows and a paper towel brand wants to use the clip in an ad. She's a graphic designer, not an influencer. It's been a week and she's totally overwhelmed. Has anyone else had a friend go viral from something this random? How do you help them deal with it?

Honestly, that sounds like a nice problem to have. It'll blow over in another week.

That Elm Street receipt video sounds like a fun story, but is it really that big a deal?

I mean, it's a pretty big deal for the people who collect that stuff. That receipt is a piece of movie history that was just lost, you know? It's not something that happens every day.
