Last Tuesday my ad campaign hit a 12x ROAS out of nowhere

I've been running Facebook ads for about 3 years now, mostly for a friend's Etsy store that sells these weird little resin animals. Nothing special, just the usual $50 a day budget. Then last Tuesday I wake up, check the dashboard, and somehow it's showing a 12 times return on ad spend. I thought the numbers were broken, honestly. I stared at it for like 15 minutes refreshing the page. Turns out some random mom blogger in Ohio shared a video of her kid playing with the little octopus figurine and it just exploded. No rhyme or reason, nothing I did differently. The next day it was back to normal, barely a 2x. Has anyone else had a campaign just randomly blow up for no clear reason like that?

Man that sucks. I had the same thing happen with a 12 minute video of a golden retriever chasing waves at a beach in Oregon. Whole thing buffered for like 5 minutes straight and then froze right when the dog went after a seagull. Never did find out if he caught it or not. Still bugs me when I think about it honestly.

oh man, i've been there. have you tried pausing the video for a minute and letting it load all the way before hitting play? i do that now with any longer video and it saves me so much headache. sometimes closing other tabs or apps helps too, especially if your connection's spotty. i used to just click play and hope for the best but that never works out.
