My PR agency's rush to comply with neighborhood data laws
Our neighborhood association introduced tough data privacy regulations for businesses. I spent all weekend updating client contracts for my small PR firm. It's a huge hassle and I'm afraid of legal backlash. What steps have you taken for similar local rules?

Are you serious? A neighborhood association is making data privacy laws? That's like my HOA trying to regulate internet security instead of just telling me to mow my lawn. I've never heard of local rules getting that detailed for business contracts. You must be dealing with some really pushy board members. Updating all client contracts sounds like a nightmare, especially for a small firm.

Doesn't it seem like every small board now wants to control things they don't really get? You're right, @baker.stella, it's like they forget their actual job and start making rules about stuff they know nothing about. I see this all the time with local groups trying to handle tech or business issues.
