Ngl that AI upscaling tool wrecked my old family photos
I tried one of those AI photo restoration apps last weekend to fix up a blurry picture from my grandma's wedding in 1952. The demo looked amazing but when I ran the full batch, it turned everyone's faces into these weird smooth plastic masks. Cost me $30 for the subscription and now I gotta figure out how to undo the damage. Has anyone else had a bad run with these image AI tools?

What exactly did the app do to the original files - create new copies or overwrite them?

Think mine just made duplicates in a new folder.

Copies" is wrong - mine straight up overwrote the originals.
