I tried to air fry a whole chicken in my small basket model and it was a disaster.

A whole chicken in a small basket? That takes some serious confidence. The mess must have been unreal, grease everywhere. Those things are not meant for something that big, it probably just spun and hit the sides. Hope your kitchen survived.

Oh man, my buddy tried that once. Chicken grease coated his entire stove top.
