Vent: I was convinced my air fryer chicken wings needed a full 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

My friend from Buffalo saw me pull out a batch that looked like charcoal and said, 'You're cooking them like an oven, you need to shake the basket every 5 minutes and check them at 12.'

Grace is right about the shaking thing. People sleep on how much difference it makes for even cooking in these things. Rubberiness usually comes from overcrowding or not enough heat, not the time itself. Breaking them up a couple times during the cook is the real trick to avoid that. A few minutes can definitely mess things up if your airfryer runs hot, but shaking is the bigger deal here.

I mean, is it really that big of a deal? Chicken wings are pretty forgiving, and a lot of air fryers have different power levels anyway. Maybe it's just me, but a few extra minutes never ruined my dinner, idk.
