Spent about $150 on a borescope to check a Cessna 172 cylinder, found nothing, but it saved me a ton of time and a possible engine pull.

My buddy at the local FBO swears by his Teslong borescope... saved him from a teardown last month.

Those cheap scopes can miss small cracks. Seen a few engines get hurt by false confidence.

Ever notice how that happens with cheap tools?
