Hit my first 100 subscribers on my anime analysis channel today

I was at my desk in my tiny apartment in Portland when I saw the notification pop up. It's only been 3 months but I almost quit last week after episode 30 got like 12 views. Feels good to finally have people actually watching my breakdowns of the themes in shows like Evangelion and Serial Experiments Lain. Anyone else remember hitting that first real milestone and how it kept you going?

yo that's awesome congrats! i read somewhere that most channels in the anime space plateau around 50 subs so 100 in 3 months is solid. @emma_clark makes a good point about the niche overlap, i've heard Evangelion fans can be picky about what analysis they vibe with.

100 subs is a weird milestone because it's small enough that you still question if anyone actually cares, but big enough that you can't pretend it's just your mom watching. Three months is actually pretty good for anime analysis, there's so much noise in that niche. The 12 view episodes are brutal, but those are usually the ones where you find your real voice because nobody's watching anyway. I'd be curious how many of your subscribers actually came from the Lain content versus the Evangelion stuff, those two audiences don't always overlap.
