I wasted $60 on a Crunchyroll subscription for a month of dub delays

Paid for premium to watch the new season as it aired, but the dubbed episodes kept dropping three days late and they never warned anyone has anyone else gotten burned by their release schedule?

Yeah that's rough. They really need to be upfront about their dub schedule instead of just taking people's money. Three days late is bad enough but the real kicker is how inconsistent it is. Some shows are fine, others get pushed back with zero communication, and they don't even update the episode listings properly. I get that dubbing takes time but when you're charging premium prices for same day access, you need to deliver on that promise or at least warn people upfront. It's not like they're a tiny indie company, they've had years to figure this out.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. I actually read an article just last week about how Crunchyroll has been getting worse about this since the merger with Funimation. It talked about how their support tickets for delayed dubs went up by like 40 percent in the last year alone. The crazy part is they still advertise "same day as Japan" for certain shows but then quietly drop the ball on half of them. I really think they're overpromising to keep people subscribed when they know full well they can't keep up. It just feels dishonest to keep charging people full price for a service that's only working half the time.
