Fixed a 10 year old washer with a paperclip and felt like a wizard
I had this old Whirlpool washer that kept throwing an error code and refusing to drain. Spent like 2 hours watching YouTube videos and checking hoses before I found it was just a stuck clog in the pump filter. Used a paperclip to fish out a bobby pin and some lint clump, and boom it worked perfect. Almost told the customer we needed a new pump but decided to check one more thing first. Saved them $200 on a part they didn't need. Anybody else ever had a stupid simple fix save a big repair bill?

Did you actually charge them for a service call fee since you brought the truck out?

And here I thought I was smart for fixing a garage door with a credit card. Plastic card wedged between the track and the roller, popped it right back in. Felt like a genius for 30 seconds.

Plastic card trick works until the cashier asks for it and you realize you just turned your wallet into a garage door tool. That's a good 30 seconds of genius followed by a solid minute of regret.
