I thought the 'lost city' stories from that dig in Peru were just hype
For years I heard rumors about a big find in the Cusco region, but the reports were always vague. Then last fall, the team released their full site map showing over 200 structures and a clear irrigation network. The lidar images they posted finally convinced me it was a real settlement, not just a few scattered walls. Seeing the planned layout and the scale of it made me change my mind completely. Has anyone else followed this project and seen the new data they put out?

Hold on, a map and some pictures? That's it? I need way more than that to call it a city. Show me the artifacts, the proof people lived there full time. It could just be a big ceremonial spot or something.

What kind of proof would change your mind, then?

Ever notice how people need different amounts of proof to believe something? It's like that with everything, not just old ruins.
