I found a way to get people to actually answer my 'ask anything' posts

For months, my posts in here would get maybe one reply, if that. I was just throwing out a general question and hoping. Last week, I was stuck on a specific problem with a spreadsheet formula for work, something about a VLOOKUP that kept pulling the wrong data. Instead of asking 'anyone know about VLOOKUP?', I wrote the exact error, the cell range I was using, and even put the broken formula in quotes. I got three detailed answers in an hour. One guy from Phoenix even sent a screenshot of his fix. The trick wasn't just asking anything, it was asking something super specific. It seems obvious now, but I was doing it wrong the whole time. Has anyone else figured out that the more precise your question is, the better the help you get?

Right? It's one of those things you just get. What's your take on it?

Wait, you actually get it, @gavin_hill27? I'm still stuck on the part where they expect us to just know how it works. Like, remember when they changed the whole menu layout overnight? No warning, just chaos. My dad still calls me every time he tries to find his messages. It's the little stuff that makes it feel impossible.
