Just found out how much OEM paint actually costs now
Was looking up a factory color code for a 2023 Silverado last week and nearly dropped my phone. A quart of OEM basecoat from the dealer was like $180. I remember paying maybe 50 bucks for the same stuff five years ago. Has anyone else seen prices go up this fast or is it just GM being stupid about their paint codes?

My 2019 F150 paint code was $75 a quart then, now it's $160. It's just how it is now lol.

My buddy Mike just had this happen with his 2018 Silverado. He bought a quart of the midnight blue metallic for a door touch up back in 2020, paid like $65. Last month he went to get another quart for a scratch on the bumper and it was $145. He said the guy at the parts counter just shrugged and said "supply chain stuff." Mike was so mad he just left the can on the counter and walked out.
