Stopped by the old Miller's Auto Parts in Tacoma and it felt like a time capsule

They still have the original paper catalog system on the counter and the guy behind it knew every part number by heart. I needed a carburetor kit for a '78 Ford and he pulled it from a dusty back shelf in about two minutes. Makes you miss when places weren't just a computer screen and a shipping delay. How many of these old-school parts houses are even left now?

Read an article last year saying these old counterman jobs are a dying trade. The knowledge just walks out the door when they retire.

My buddy found a NOS gasket for his Studebaker at a place just like that last year.

Wait, he actually knew the part numbers from memory? That's wild.
