Found a wild berry patch on the Olympic Coast route that made my day

I was hiking the Olympic Coast and got REALLY hungry between campsites. I spotted a patch of salmonberries and blackberries right off the trail, so I stopped to snack. They were sweet and gave me a quick energy boost for the next few miles. Has anyone else foraged for food while backpacking?

Just watch for invasive Himalayan blackberries mixed in with the native ones.

Actually, @thomasmitchell, both those are the same invasive plant.

Himalayans are often mistaken for Armenian blackberries here.
