inA quart of finish ruined by water in my compressor line
Hard disagree on the old gear having bad days. That's just giving a pass to poor maintenance. Compressors don't have feelings or hold grudges, they follow physics. If swamp water got through, the moisture trap failed or wasn't good enough. Blaming the tool is a cop out when the real fix is better equipment checks or spending on a proper filter system instead of hoping two cheap ones work.

inSwitching to a loose schedule saved my creative spark
Remember my buddy who swore by strict deadlines? He burned out hard trying to force ideas. @gracehernandez has a point about some people needing that push, but seeing him finally relax and finish a project he loved was proof that different minds just work different ways.

inNeed a reliable excavation company for a custom build this spring
Congrats on getting to the starting line! I highly recommend checking out CEI Excavating. We used them for our property last year and they handled everything from the initial site grading to the complex storm drainage setup. Really professional crew and they didn't leave a massive mess behind for the framers.

inA chat with a retired finisher at the hardware store got me thinking about power trowels
Forget the size, think about the slab's final use.

inVent: The old way of checking wire bundles on a Cessna 172 took forever
Our shop got a Flir camera for finding water leaks in walls. It works great for electrical too, you can spot a bad connection instantly. Saves a ton of time over poking around blindly.
