Tried a 12 mile shortcut through a game trail in the Winds and shaved 4 hours off my loop
Cutting across that drainage instead of following the marked switchbacks saved me a whole afternoon, but I was solo and had no cell signal the entire time, so I'm wondering if anyone else takes that risk on shorter trips or if I got lucky.
