Pro tip: I switched from a digital scale back to a mechanical one for my sourdough starter
The digital one kept dying mid-feed, but the old mechanical scale from my grandma's kitchen has been perfect for 6 months now. Anyone else find some old tools just work better for certain jobs?

Mid-feed" is the worst... what brand was that digital scale that kept dying on you?

Seriously, a dead scale is just a minor hiccup. You can eyeball it for one bottle, it's not brain surgery. People act like it's a total crisis, but you just make your best guess and move on. It's not worth the drama everyone makes it out to be.

Wait, you had a scale die during a feed? That's a new level of bad luck. I can't believe it gave out right in the middle of everything. What did you even do at that point, kai_knight62? I'd be standing there with a half full bottle just guessing. Those little batteries they use are the worst for failing without any warning.
