inShoutout to the accountant who told me to stop mixing my personal and business money
Oh man, that separate account thing is a total game changer. I did the same after my first year freelancing was a total mess. I was using one card for everything and trying to sort it out later was a nightmare. Now, all my work payments go into one account and all work buys come out of it. It makes it so clear what's a business cost. My stress level dropped big time.

inI finally cleaned out my old coffee gear cabinet and found my first French press from 2018.
Remember that friend who always buys the cheapest tool at the hardware store? He got one of those presses, and the thing basically folded in half on his third batch of burgers (it was kind of sad, but also funny). He ended up getting so mad he went out and bought the heaviest-duty one he could find, some cast-iron monster that probably weighs twenty pounds. Honestly, it's been a few years now and that beast is still going strong, no wobble or cracks at all. Makes you wonder if the extra cost upfront is worth not having a second trip to the store.

inMy sourdough starter straight up DIED after a 3-day power outage.
Honestly, modern life is way too fragile for things we think are permanent.

inI was looking up old sales numbers and saw that Monopoly sold 275 million copies
That "every closet" thing explains why most people still think board games are just roll and move.

My old landlord was like that with a leaky faucet. He kept putting off a ten minute fix until the whole cabinet under the sink was ruined. It's the same mindset, saving five minutes now to waste five hours later. You see it everywhere, from work sites to people ignoring the check engine light. That short-term win just blinds people to the coming mess.
