Oh man, that is so real. I've been burned before trying to save a few bucks on a payment. The cheap way ends up taking days to clear and everyone gets stressed. That fee is just the cost of peace of mind, you know? Totally worth it to have the transaction done and tracked properly. Good call.

Been there too. Paid the slow way once and the waiting was awful. Now I just consider the fee part of the cost.

Forty bucks just to move money seems wild. Most banks have free ACH transfers that take a day, maybe two. Setting up a simple direct deposit with the contractor would have cost nothing and avoided the fee entirely.
