Just bought a $400 cordless clipper set and it's been a game changer for fades
I was using my old corded clippers for years, but the cord kept getting in the way during busy Saturday shifts. I saved up and got the cordless set about two months ago. The freedom to move around the chair without thinking about the cord has made my fades so much smoother and faster. Has anyone else made the switch to cordless, and what brand are you using now?

Saw a barber on YouTube talking about this exact thing, how going cordless shaved like ten minutes off each fade just from not fighting the cord. That freedom to spin around the chair without thinking makes total sense. I remember @max415 talking about battery life with his gear, and it seems like that's the real make or break. My buddy's cordless clippers died halfway through a skin fade last week and he had to finish with shears, total nightmare. You really need that reliable power all day.

How's the battery life holding up on those after a full day of cuts?

Got a pair of the 5.0 Ah batteries and they usually make it through trimming a full quarter acre lot. Had one die on me last Thursday around 3 PM, but that was after heavy use on some thick brush. Keep a third battery charging in the truck just in case. The newer ones seem to last longer than the old 4.0s for sure.
